Brake Upgrades (Whole Package or Rotors/Pads)
I am looking for some opinions from S4 owners. I know the stock HP-2 brakes aren't exactly the best for very spirited or track driving. Overhearing others it has to come to my attention that the real problems are the rotors and pads. The actual caliper is very efficient and provides more than adequate clamping force. That caliper basically overwhelms the rotor because the rotor can not cool well enough, then the pads get toasted by the super hot rotors. Do people agree with this?
If you agree would you consider buying a whole brake kit to solve the heat problem or just upgrade the rotor and pads for much less money?
Thanks for the help.

Just put on StopTechs. They seem a pretty good bargain.
Pads for the S4 are pretty darn expensive, rotors are quite reasonable.
Pads AND replacement rotors for the StopTechs are also reasonable. I'm also convinced that they will hold up on the track much better than the stock rotors and pads. They also look neat.
There are a lot of aftermarket brake options for the S4....the StopTechs are as cheap as any and are quite impressive. The Porsche techs at the dealer were commenting on their appearance quite favorably.
