Default Broke a hard plastic vacuum hose while replacing the F-hose and axillary water pump.

The specific hose is the one that intersects with the lower branch of the "F." It travels under the manifold, makes a 90 degree turn to the right (looking at the car from the front) and intersects with some other hoses and valves behind the Y-pipe.

I broke the pipe off about 3 inches above the stop valve that intersects with the f-hose. I also cracked the hose at the 90 degree bend by the back of the engine. I took a piece of fuel line to patch the broken hose, clamped it down hard as hell and finished up the aux. pump job.

Here is my problem. What I am noticing is when I take my foot OFF the gas after some hard acceleration and turbo activation, I hear a zipping noise. It sorta sounds like a DJ scratching a record one time, or forcefully exhaling when you have bronchitis. I sounds like it is coming from the right side of the engine compartment. I hope to christ this is not my turbo getting ready to explode. The weird thing about the whole thing is that my car feels like it is pulling harder than ever (there was no damage to the f-pipe when I removed it.)

Does anybody know what this hose is called?
How will this hose being possibly leaky affect my turbos?
Does what I explain sound like a turbo going bad?

Thanks

Dan

Cheap fix is to just use a piece of silicone hose and hose clamp each end together, should be fine.

You have any idea what the "zipper" noise is when I let off the accelerator?
