buying a 2000 s4....need advice
yellow 6 speed with 20k on it and the dealer wants $26000 for it. I know it is not the best deal avail' but the condition is really good, anyways, is there anything in particular I should check before I pay for the vehicle? Thanksin advance

Get a CarFax report and get it VAGed > > >
Also check:
the TBB (known to degrade and tear)
front control arms (sensitive to abuse)
Be prepared to upgrade the TBB and the f-hose (the f-hose is only on the 2000 S4).

Get a CarFax report, Vehicle Service history report as well. That will
tell you what the car was being serviced for...gives an idea of how the car was treated. Also, look inside the wheel wells and see if one side of the suspension is very clean versus the other.....cause if it is, could have been run up on a curb or something. Also check the engine bay for differences in paint on the inner fender.......check spare tire well just incase water damage that wasn't reported....if all that looks good, get it and have fun. ;-)
