Default buying stage 3 parts used

Is it a good idea to be buying used stage 3 parts used? Has anyone done this? I am always more for 'do it right the first time - ie new parts', but I am just curious if any of you have done this and everything turned out good

Default Turbos and clutch without having them reworked is not worth the hassle

inlet pipes, fueling, intake, programming, downpipes etc I don't mind used if the part is what I want.

Default If you've got other cars to drive, space to work, and time for trial and error go for it

What exactly are you buying?

Its wear and tear like a tire. If the turbos and clutch were easy to swap out like a tire, it ok

Default It comes down to labor cost. If you can cheaply replace those parts then go for it...

but if you have to rely on a mechanic who charges you $100/hr then things like turbos and clutches can be very risky. That's usually why things like turbos and clutches sell cheaply versus easy-to-replace things like intercoolers and downpipes.
