Cactus4's demise in color......

Well, I've seen the car. God this sucks!! Here is the first of several pictures I'll post tonight. As you can see, it's pretty bad. Here's the damage.
Front Bumper, Hood, front fender, wheel, tire, entire front suspension (drivers side tire is hard left, passengers side tire is straight ahead), drivers door won't open, both passenger doors are pushed in, 3 of the wheels are curbed badly, windshield is smashed, both front airbags have deployed and I'm told I need a new dash, the drivers side intercooler is wasted along with all of the plumbing, and the headlights were stolen. That's just a preliminary list. They haven't really gotten a chance to evaluate the quattro system (since it won't run) or the engine/trans. More pictures with comments to follow. Keep checking back. The shop told me that the front bumper, headlights and hood were $4K alone. I'm hoping that this is a total loss as the car will NEVER be the same.

Can we have a moment of silence please?
Damn, I'm just cringing looking at it. Makes me want to stare out the window and keep my car at close hand whenever I go anywhere.
I'm really sorry about your loss. Hope you can find one to replace it, even though, it'll never be the same.

if the doors won't open, it's a goner...
in the are of space frames, the passenger compartment is designed to be the strongest part of the car. The doors are also designed so they will open after a severe accident so rescue workers can get to the passengers.. so if those door don't budge, the frame is probably pretty bent up.

Passenger airbag blew so hard that it pushed the dash into the windshield
