How much one might cost and how difficult it is to get to. Is replacing the Alternator hard to do. Keep in mind I only have a one car garage and a semi decent set of tools. Your input is greatly appreciated.

search for high output alternators on google, and you'll find several places that offers them. expect to pay about $500... maybe more since it's for an Audi.

when the mechanics at the dealership replaced my alternator, it took them roughly about 4 hours to do. they had the car on a lift and worked on it from underneath. since i imagine that you will have less experience working on this car compared to the mechanics, you're probably looking at around half a day to replace the alternator.
