Can anyone post interior trim removal diagrams? B pillar, door panels etc.
I don't want to just go guerilla and pull and pry trim pieces. I have a poor track record of breaking them.
I have a rattle in a passenger door or in my b pillar or maybe the headliner area that is making me crazy. Now that our Ohio roads are all pothole patched, all I hear is this plastic on plastic rubbing and rattling. Its f'n making me nuts. Any help is appreciated. |
check the tech articles for door panels. look for window reg. articles.

heres a quick how to for the door cards.
Open doors. Remove the two screws (one Right/one left) on the edges of door card. Then remove the one screw in the door handle. Once removed pull/push the black trim that screw was in downward. There are two screws behind the trim, remove them (two on the fronts and one screw on the rears).
Now slide the door card with hands on bottom upwards until it slides away from door. Remember that when you reinstall to guide the lock back into its hole in the door card. |

anyone have it for the c pillars and d pillars (avant)
|
Pretty much the exact same procedure.
I helped take the headliner out of a friend's avant last weekend. It is a PITA and very easy to break the B, C, and D pillar covers if you just try to pry them off. The C and D pillars are complicated by needing to remove some other lower side panels to get them free as well. I used the service manual to help with the removal and only broke 1 of the clips, though it would have been easy to break more. Also, the pillar cover material seems to get quite brittle over time and is easy to crack.

and chance you could send me over the the service manual parts used..
need to know more about it.

I'll try to send it when I get home this evening.
