Default Can coolant leak from our turbo's into the exhaust, like oil seals in the turbos tend to blow?

I have the worst luck with cooling systems. In fact, i hate them. I always put them togther correctly and seal properly and they leak due to falty parts. I'm still losing coolant and cant find it. It doesnt seem to be in my oil which is why i'm thinking its leaking from the turbo(s) if thats even a possibilty. I tried looking on the top of the block and dont see any traces of coolant from the afterrun pump or crusties anywhere. I might just drop in an air cooled vw motor if i cant get to the bottom of this.

Default Do you have signifcant amounts of white smoke, which would indicate burning coolant?

Have you had an oil analysis done to confirm it doesn't contain coolant?

Default You'd know excessive smoke if you saw it. :)

I'd highly recommend getting an oil analysis.

The coolant passages in the turbo CHRAs are separate from the oil passages as well as the compressor and exhaust housings, so coolant couldn't get into the oil unless there was a crack or casting defect in the CHRA and there really isn't any way it could get into the exhaust (unless it went into the oil first).

Default fooked up oil cooler would actually do that

mix oil + coolant

but then he'd just have to look at his coolant res and see if there is oil in the coolant

anyways

it's just a possiblity. You're trying to find out where your coolant and oil are mixing
