Can I assume they flushed my brake fluid at my 40k when they replaced pads/rotors on the front?

They should be doing it every 2 years regardless.

They did mine a couple months early. It's only 3-4 months.

I would assume nothing, other than that they want my money, from any Audi dealer. I would not even assume they looked at my car (which might turn out to be the option that did the least damage).

Ouch! Your dealer experience has been THAT bad?
Guess I'm lucky or something. Audi replaced the front control arms and tie rods on my '98 A4 even tho it was past warranty time-wise in MI. But I have run into questionable attitudes at one FL dealer, dubbing one employee Director of Warranty Denial. And the MI dealer's diagnosis skills are less than those of Mr. Piggie, whose laptop readout helped them...and helped me get a new MAF under warranty even tho I'm chipped and they know it.

Re: Ouch! Your dealer experience has been THAT bad?
I have three dealers around me. Each one beats the other in incompetence. I had to tell them everything to do, and they nevertheless screwed up. Every single time I had more stuff broke than before the service. Lug nuts lubed, no oil after an oil change service on my previous A4 2.8q, in the S4 crash sensor triggered/airbags disabled, car in limp mode, someones sun glasses rattling in my plenum chamber, ABS disabled, torn TBB not diagnosed or replaced, one BPV replaced with 710A, the other with 710B after I told them BPVs are dead, rotors below wear limit despite my explicit stating brakes are toast (again...), many more things. They never topped up any fluid, including power steering fluid. They first refused to do the prescribed brake fluid change after 2 years, then reluctantly performed it. Car was backed into a wall, rear bumper dented. Rocking seats not fixed, but a lot of interior trim panels broken or destroyed. So I do all my maintenance myself now - out of warranty anyway. AoA however managed to be even less helpful. Definitely my last Audi.
