please, including myself comparing our cars with E46 M3's PLEAZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.Its a great car,i STILL SELECTED AN S4 and always will.Let me give you fact(i have tested myself with some e46 m3 associates
Bone stock S4 vs 01 M3 coupe=you will get smoked,M3 is lighter and has more ponies and more torque and with an avg driver will humble you on any track or stoplight
Bone Stock S4 vs M3 Cab=close,maybe a dead heat,still think the M3 cab would pull.Person who misshifts loses.Cab got me by a 1/2 car length,im bone stock
Modified S4 vs 01 M3=stage 3,now we are talking.
Point:we give this issue too much attention and i gathered this from below thread on "am i trolling"
stop with the stories of how a 260 hp car smokes a 333hp car.Sorry for the long post,AUDI RULES but lets respect nice rides out there

no kidding
modified its a different ball game,but stock lets get real.I bought the car to have 4 doors,power and the ability to drive around in snow and rain,not to go around saying i SMOKED an M3

Actually, it's probably more than 250hp stock......shoot, they can say it's
200 stock for all I care.....the numbers at the strip suggest more than 250 for a car of it's weight to ET and MPH like it does......gotta love it. Still, ain't no M3 beating power stock....Unless he can't drive. There's one E46 locally that ran 14.0s and 13.8s @ 99mph. He needs to hand over the keys. :-p

what do you mean by "but your corrections makes my point even more"? Your point I assume is about people comparing S4s and M3s, and I did no such thing

yeah, like the VR6 vs 1.8T in the GTi... The 1.8T has been dyno'd around 153 at the wheels when it's
spec'd at 150 at the crank. hmmmmmm, someone doesn't want to compromise VR6 sales

your right,but stock we are spectators,my
point is that IMO the S4 while underpowered is still a more unique better car than M3.i think by making comparisons it makes us look like the the "little guy"who is always looking to prove something.WE HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE,lets enjoy our cars

True......I don't compare cars, I just race them for the fun.
I got the S4 for reason that the M3 can't satisfy. They are both great cars. I don't see any probably with friendly combat on the streets....but comparing cars really is a waste. Two cars for two different things. If I had the money, I would have one in addition...as well as a host of other cars too. So many toys, so little money and time. :-p
