Can't get VAG-COM com cable to work with a Keyspan USB to Serial Adapter... Help....................

Default Can't get VAG-COM com cable to work with a Keyspan USB to Serial Adapter... Help....................
I saw a bunch of AW guys were using this brand adapter with their old VAG COM serial cables. I tried it with no luck. Anything I am missing settings wise.

It is model USA-19HS

What COM port # are you using? Try changing it to any free COM1 to 5 port.

Default did you install the drivers for the adapter?
also check com port number and match it with the VAG s/w...

if this works, i get a free shifter. deal. ;p

I believe Vag only accepts 1 through 4.

Drivers installed, tried it on COM2 and COM3 both the adapter and in VAG.

What's the com port Keyspan is assigned to in windows - device manager.

I know it says somewhere on the Ross-Tech site that USB to Serial Adapters aren't supported.

Yes I noticed. However I have seen many on here be successful with this exact model of adapter...
