The car was acting weird today...boost fluctuation at WOT
I was getting fluctuation during WOT pulls today in my Tip. It was fluctuating from 1.2 bar to .88 bar, then back up to 1.2, and back and forth. My car has never done anything like that before. I went to class, got back in, and it didn't do it anymore. Only thing I can think of is that I disconnected the battery to install my Icelink the night before? I checked my TBB and it's fine, my DVs don't sound blown either. Anyone?

I've had exactly the same fluctuations in boost at WOT for quite a while now...
I checked the BPV's and they are ok. I logged block 115 and boost seemed fine (actual is a bit higher than requested in some instances but I guess this is fine?).
Also, I checked the MAF (even bought a refurbish one) and replaced the N-75-no change. Did a pressure test and found some tiny leaks around the BPV's fittings but after correcting those the problem is there. I have no idea what the problem is, maybe programming or wastegate? I'm going to swap ECU's with a friend (we both have APR 5.0) and check if there is any change...

Had same symptoms...
I found a leak in drivers-side IC after a pressure test - which I fixed... that didn't help. I lubed my Forge BPVs - that helped a little. Lastly I cleaned the MAF... after STFA - someone recommended removing and cleaning the MAF in a ziplock bag with 90%+ alcohol. I chose to clean it with a high quality electronic component cleaner.
That seams to have done it... the car pulls hard and smoothly. Do at your own risk though - some say not to dick with cleaning a MAF!

Well I just replaced my air filter with an EVOMS filter...
they come pre-oiled, but I doubt that is the problem...the filter didn't even look oiled to me, I had to call in and make sure it was oiled before installing...besides that was about a week ago. I'll try to do some more tests tomorrow or whenever I have time and see if it continues. I think the problem solved itself after it sat for a couple hours.
