Default car dead - help with troubleshooting

hey guys, so last night i hop in my car to start it, and it just doesnt start. it doesnt even crank or anything, just kind of gives 1 click and stops. it died on me once before and then started up again, but when that happened behind the speedometer and dash there was some wierd clicking noise. now it just doesnt start ... any ideas? the battery isnt dead at all, could it be the starter?

strange thing is, i JUST brought it in the day before to a mechanic for 75k service where they check over everything, now the day after the car dies ... kinda shady.

any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS

You're sure it's not the battery?

You've load tested the battery? Battery. If not, loose/corroded battery cable.

hey yea its not the battery.

this is very strange. this morning the car started up fine, but while i was driving i heard very rapid clicking coming from behind the dash. what is that? after the clicking, i knew if i shut my car off it wouldnt start again. i drove it home, and now it wont start anymore.

what could it be ?

Default Do you have a VAG, can you see if you have any codes?

As donp said, check the battery for a loose connection...

hey i dont have a VAG, ill try to get someone with one though.

the battery is fine. i tried jumpstarting my car and checked the connections too.

so the clicking im thinking is some sort of relay going nuts. this problem started after i changed my bulbs from 5400k to 8000k. i dont know how that would affect the problem, but perhaps it does somehow

Default Did you loosen any of the nuts on the power bus bar under the dash when you installed the lights?

Maybe you forgot to re-tighten something.

Default this is wierd

ok so i just went down to check on it, i think its independent of the headlights.

i went down to my car and it started, but then there was that rapid clicking inside the dash. my screen kept going back and forth from saying the temp/miles left to the picture of the car.

its not a loose connection.
