Default Car feels noticably stronger after switching from my normal Shell gas to Mobil.

Any facts to back this up? Or is this just a case of a defective butt-dyno ;-)

Definitely feels stronger though.

Default if you want to see even more, clear your codes to reset adaptation values.

the ECU learns MUCH faster starting from zeroes.

That is something I should add... both Shell and Mobil were 93 octane.

Default My car runs better on Mobil 93 than on Shell or BP - I thought it was my butt dyno too...

but it's been consistent for about 100,000miles.

I thought all these places got their gas from the same place though?

Makes no sense to me - I just use Mobil and call it a day.

Default One thing I think some people don't realize is that winter gas sucks..

if you live in a climate(eg. New England) they actually put more detergents, additives, drygas, etc in the gas and your motor will actually lose power, and the more work you have done the more you will notice it. Since it's colder in the winter though, but for obvious reasons most people won't notice the drop in power, and vice versa when the hot weather returns and better gas.

Your dealer probably isn't an expert either..that said, I use Mobil, Sunoco and Cam II
