Car of the Future

Pretty cool, however hydrogren isn't exactly "green" just yet as it takes more
energy to synthesize it than can be wrung from it even using fuel cells. Great prototype car though.

Seen that before, but 10-20 years why, the **** is running now.. I don't get it
the fact that BMW and others have hydrogen cell cars running around europe and have for over a year now and we are still 10-20 years away??

The cars aren't the problem - its the fuel source. 1st - hydrogen is expensive to make.
2nd - you need to use fossil fuels (or massive amounts of electricity generated from somewhere) to separate water into H2 + O2.
3rd - distribution is a problem. seen many H2 stations recently? it'll take a very long time to convert a significant number of fueling stations to hydrogen.

the truly green way to manufacture hydrogen is with wind power...and there will be 20 or so stations
popping up around CA in the next year or so.
My friend is working for a hydrogen startup company. Just recently completed the BullRun in a hydro powered H2.
