Car no start. No power to Fuse 28, 29, 34...more
Car was fine one day, next day car wouldnt start. Thought it was the fuel pump relay...replaced with a new one but no go. Checked for power at fuse 28 (fuel pump), 29 (Engine Control Unit), and 34 (engine control unit - again) What could the problem be? Is there a short somewhere? I tried to run output tests througg vag but it won't run - i get an error. Tere is communication with the engine module though...no codes...Help! TIA!

check the ingition switch also check fuses and relays in the ebox where the ecu sits.If a relay is bad in there or theres a blown fuse it woutn crank or start or either or.Ecu sends the signal out to a relay to turn the fuel pump on.If fuses and relays check out fine could be a bad ecu.
EDIT UPDATE:Looked at the wiring diagrams it looks as all those fuses are related if not powered by the fuel pump relay J17.please check fuel pump relay if its good and getting a signal from ecu.

Did you check the crank sensor? If the crank sensor doesn't responded to you see you it will not pump fuel or have the right Spark. I would be surprised as to how important that one little sensor is to the engine.

About the fuel pump.
I have a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro with the 1.8 turbo. So upon inspection I've had a few problems let's say oh, and I noticed that as of lately the fuel pump wiring harness has been cut Andre wired. So I guess my question is does anybody know exactly how it's supposed to be connected and the rear I don't know if somebody has used a different fuel pump or they had to bypass the relay for whatever reason. Any help would be appreciated
