Default cat delete software package?

I have a bad cat and my mechanic suggested a cat delete software package.
I am unchipped (flashed) at this time, I know, I know, I need to be.
What exactly is a "cat delete software package"?
Is this just a normal flash with cats removed? Or does it "fix" the CEL when I have no cats?
Or am I totally off?
Thanks

Default Fixes CEL as far as codes that would be thrown by not having cats.

Tells the car to ignore cat efficiency codes which generally be caused by your secondary O2 sensors. I believe APR and Revo have a cat delete program, you could also use the VAST CELiminators on your secondary O2s and odds are any codes cause by cat delete would disappear.

Default Yes, this would be APR software.

Would this also give me the normal flash (increase boost, speed limiter, etc) as well?
