CD Changer Hookup Problem
Has anyone over come and if so how ? The Following: I had the dealer installed in 1996 an Audi 6 disc CD Changer in an A4. Upon lease termination I kept the Changer. This weekend I went to install the changer in my 2000 S4 in the area where the tool box is located. This older unit is too large (width only) for the space alotted in the frame. This can be overcome in that in the 1996 A4 they had mounted it under the trunk deck and I still have the bracket or can I can cut the exsisting area on the left hand side. Biggest problem is connector interface. The original unit has a male connector with pin locations forming the letter D and the posts are about .060 in diameter. The mating plug that is provided on the S4 is also male and looks to have a random pin pattern with the post diameters being .030. Any suggestions on how to proceed or companies that may provide solutions.

Sell it on E-Bay and purchase the correct changer.....
...the old-style A4 changer (Alpine manufactured) will not work in a newer A4 or S4. You need the Panasonic-manufactured changer.
