Clutch slip!!! ahhh!
well, i went out to the old track across the river here in savannah and ran a few times down the old pit lanes(there's a marked 1/4 mile). well, about the 3rd time out, i was revving to 4000 then swiftly dumped the clutch. it kept revving to 5000 and i was barely moving, so it was a good time to go home. it smelled like ****, and i know it's glazed over for a bit. but my question is, is it ok? i don't normally do this, but i wanted to try it out in the heavy ***** quattro.

Don't worry about it, you're OK. But you need to take it easy. The best way to tell...
...when the clutch glaze is gone is the clutch catch point will come back. When glazed, the clutch pressure is light and the catch point feels unnoticeable. When your clutch comes back, you can feel the catch point...again.
It'll take a week or two to remove the glaze depending how much you drive and how bad you glazed your clutch.
After my encounter with the C32 AMG, it took almost 4 weeks for my clutch glaze to go away. That's the price you pay when you play with the Big Boys. =)
