Yes! We are back, and better than ever! The 10th Official South Fla VW/Audi GTG is now set to blow away all previous events! The date: Saturday, August 17th, 2002. The place: Markham Park, Pavilion #1, Sunrise, FL. The time: beginning at 11AM. We are expecting well over 100 cars and 200 people again.

We have been working overtime to make this event the premier gathering in South Florida. We apologize for the delay, but believe us, it was all very well worth the wait! Many of you know we had to try to secure our place at Markham after some rules changes prevented us from holding #9 at the pavilion. But after discussing it with park officials, and with a few changes, we are back at Markham!

The details: The GTG will begin at 11am as usual. Many of the organizers will be there much earlier to set up the pavilion for the event. Again, the event is free to attend and remains a non-profit venture. We will charge $4 for a food and drink ticket, which will allow unlimited access to the food and drinks as well as an entry into our big raffle. The raffle will be free for anyone who purchases a food ticket to help us recoup our expenses for the event. We will plan on having the food and drinks serving from about 11:45am.

We are planning on having vendors at the event to show their products...we will post more details about vendors expected as we get closer to the GTG. Sales are prohibited in state parks in Florida, so vendors will not be selling on-site. However you may pre-purchase from any vendor and pick up your purchase or get installations at the event, or pre-order a product for future delivery and pay on receipt. We are setting up specific vendor display tables next to the pavilion, so showgoers can wander from table to table to see the products available.

We will be producing our own GTG t-shirt for this event, which will include some of our sponsors on the rear, and our own design on the front. We will be posting more information about the shirt for anyone interested...as with the money collected for the GTG, t-shirt sales will remain non-profit, and help recover expenses for this event.

We will be hiring police presence for the GTG...we cannot tolerate ANY stupid driving as this is a state park with children and animals present throughout. Stick to all posted speed limits while within park boundaries, and be courteous to all the people trying to enjoy the park environs...please, no stereo wars, tire burning, littering, or speeding so we can be invited back again!

Staff for this GTG include myself (Justin - founder and organizer), Steve (sponsor and vendor organizer), and Mike (organizer and designer). Steve will be posting more information about pre-payments to our PayPal account for the food tickets as well as for the t-shirts, and vendor information as it is confirmed.
