Hi - I am a long time Audi enthusiast, but am relatively new to the B5 S4. One of the things I notice about this particular car is that I get quite a bit of fan noise from the fan with the viscous clutch at anything over like 32 degrees outside. It seems that the viscous clutch transmitting torque to the fan almost all the time unless it is really cold out. Is this normal for these cars or is it time for me to replace the viscous clutch? I also have a B5 A4 with a 1.8 T and I don't think I ever heard this kind of noise from this car unless it is really hot out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
