Default Cost of Audi Driving School (Autobahn CC) worth it over CGI Motorsports (Gingerman)??

I'd like being with all Audis better, but hey, I'm a bit strapped for cash. I'm also 100 miles further from Gingerman (I'm in Champaign/Urbana area) ...

Default Why do you care so much about it being with all Audis. I've been the only Audi at every event

I've been to (only 2, but still).

Default if it's your first time, you will learn a lot at any school, I went to the NEQ driving school at

Limerock this year because it's also fun to meet other audi owners, some people from AW, and above all they do a great job of teaching there. Maybe talk to those who have been to each and find out what people have said.

Default check out a cart school (like Jim Hall) you'll get the most...

Bang for your buck. also i think that go-karts make for better learning because you'll be more willing to push the limits and less fearful of crashing you baby. (Jim Hall's track has so much run-off that it's impossible to damage the kart or yourself, great for learning the limits)

there's a reason why F1 drivers drive go-karts during the off season... they're cheap and an amazing learning tool.

Once you've gotten some good instruction you can take your Audi to an open track day and demonstrate you're new knowledge.

Default You'll likely learn a lot at either school. The ACNA school will introduce you to other Audi owners

whereas a non-Audi school is likely to have much less Audi participants.

Default well, as far as instructors, it's not a bad idea. it's good to have someone who knows how to handle

an AWD car.

Default the ACNA event at Autobahn Country Club has been cancelled

the track won't be ready. :-(

I definitely encourage you to sign up for Gingerman. It is a great track to go to for your first event, and technical enough to still be interesting if you've been doing events for years.

Default Ditto

It is good for someones first few events to be with the quattro club...driving quattro is different. After that...explore with other clubs/events.

How would the significant weight difference of S4 vs. a cart come into play?
