Default Could seat position (angle of force) effect shifter smoothness?

I had my car serviced so audi had to move the seat to take it for a test drive to see if it was out of alignment. Driving home i felt the shifts were requiring less effort. My imagination ? Possible thanks.

Default That is possible. It use to happen all the time in my GTI GLX

I ended up getting used to another driving position because of this.

If I would shift on my original position, 2nd would grind 2 out of 10 times (common problems in 2000 GTI GLX VR6s). After I took the new position, no more problems.
