Default Cracked oil pan.....

Bottomed out the other day and cracked the oil pan in two places. Local dealer fixed it but belly pan / skid plate (hard for me to call a plastic cover a skid plate) was backordered. I think they quoted about 250 for this part. Are there any after market belly pans that may provide a bit more protection to the cast aluminum oil pan. Or a place on line i get an oem one cheaper than 250.00. Thanks in advance

Default I haven't had a belly pan on for at least a year.... <shrug>

But to answer your Q.... there is a heavy duty belly pan from Audi. I don't know the p/n's.

Default no aftermarket option, you could run an RS4 pan which has bulges for the IC hoses...

...price sounds about right for one from the dealer. You could try to repair yours depending on the damage.

Default It's not for wieght reduction. It's tougher than plastic and won't break like his did.

It weighs the same amount as the stock pan. Carbon's toughness makes it a great material for this application. I've run over mine a few times to test it and it won't break.
