Crazy Q, probably wrong board 2, but anyone run the A6 2.7t shift **** on the S4, looks way better
IMO. Much more slender and not this round thing. Plus it still has the 6 speed tree on it.
I have not priced this thing at the dealer yet, but anyone know of a possibly cheaper place to get it. I am expecting the dealer to be around $100-150.

Nope, I just saw one for the first time yesterday. I think it may be a 2001 spec, because the
2000 that I test drove had the tennis ball one as I recall. Clair's has a wood one in 5 speed but it looks to have the same shape as the one I am in search of. Just hit the link below and put in 2001 A6 2.7T<ul><li><a href="http://www.clairparts.com/">Clair</a></li></ul>

I saw a very similar **** on an S4 at the NY auto show 2 years ago
someone posted a pic of it here, but then i never saw the **** on any production car. It wasn't wood and it had the right shift pattern.

My problem with the Rob **** or the Wood ***** is two things........
You get a 3rd degree burn trying to touch metal in AZ so a metal **** is insane, and my hand slips off of the wood ones when going quickly through the gears.

I solved the Rob **** scalding problem with a small leather pouch. I keep it in the car on...
summer days. When I park it, I slip the pouch over the ****...no more burns. I don't mind the minor inconvenience, as the extra heft of the **** in combination with the UUC SS really makes for smooth shifts.
