Default Cruise control woes - no chip

I've searched the archives for S4 cruise control issues, and I've only been able to loacate info for chipped cars. I've had an ongoing problem that my dealer cannot solve. The cruise will engage *sometimes* and when it does it will rarely do anything but shut off if you hit the accelerate button. The dealer replaced the switch, the module and now the throttle body assembly to no avail.

It has been in 4 times for this and they have finally given me a loaner. To add insult to injury they tried to blame my hardwired Passport 8500 for the problem.

Anyone have any related experience (cruise control not bad dealer). TIA.

Does it always engage? Did you have the dealer check it?

Default Same problem, 3 CC modules, same problem. sometimes my acc/res button works, sometimes it doesn't.

stock, chipped, stg 3, doesn't matter, it's not in the ecu. I've had 4 different ecus and 5 different chipsets in it. problem is consistent.

Default It's intermittent. When they checked it, it worked. I just stopped using it

to accelerate. I use the gas pedal and then reset. Doesn't bother me.

Same problem - I rarely use it, but wasn't going to let them off the hook

Pretty sad - my warranty ends today - hope this isn't a sign of things to come...

Default to be honest, the 1st one died completely. The second one was replaced by an incompetent dealer

because all that was really wrong was the clutch position switch was misaligned although the 2nd and 3rd both had intermittent issues. the 3rd hasn't been right since day 1 but i don't care anymore. the set and cancel buttons work and those are the only ones i usually use. i usually accel back up myself, anyway.
