Default Custom pistons and lowering the compression ratio? (www.racetep.com sucks!)

I bought custom pistons from www.racetep.com and ordered 9.0 compression ratio. I got the pistons finally measured, and the CR is more than in original! Look at the picture. Compression height is the same, but there is no dish area.

The question is, that should I remove material from the JE pistons, or buy thicker head gasket? If I modify the pistons, the ceramic coating is gone, and I wouldn't like to do that.

I am wondering if the squish area (if there even is it) goes bad with the thick gasket, and does it hold the power (600 hp)?

The Racetep doesn't answer to may emails, they are not doing anything to fix this issue! I suggest not to buy anything from them!!!

OEM and JE piston

Default It is difficult because I'm from Europe and they can just do nothing...

If I send those back, I loose them and I'm sure that they wont do anything.

So I need to use those with some kind of modifications to pistons or gasket.

My dealings with Top-End (racetep) has always been top notch. Give them a call.

Did you check wrist pin location vs OEM? Perhaps that was raised in leiu of dish?

Try a phone call rather than email, might work better.

Default Yes I did, it is the same. They answered very good to my emails until I complained.

Seems that it is impossible to have things done from here

Default I don't know (yet) because I don't know the head volume and the gasket thickness.

But it is more than in original, and that wasn't the target.
