Default Dash Brake Warning/Alarm?

About two weeks ago, I was having some fun in the rain, practicing car control of oversteers. This was safe, at slow speeds in a rural area where no one else could get hurt.

During the correction/pause of the first oversteer skid, ESP came on as I forgot to disable it beforehand. What is odd, is that I had a loud 3-4 beep alarm, with the red "BRAKE" warning indicator flashing on my dash.

Following the recovery, the alarm/light went off. This has only happened once in my car. STFM and STFA didn't clue me into to why this happened, and I don't own a VAG-COM.

Could this have anything to do with the ABS controller, or master cylinder? Could my brakes have been overheated from spirited driving?

Thanks for any advice....

Default doesn't apply

It's the brake fluid.
