Default Dealer cannot figure out why my car is running lean...

They were blaming my K&N filter so they took it out and the CE light that has been on for months goes off. I bring it home and it comes back on. They have been cool with the mods but now they are saying it must be the chip or exhaust and have to have the Audi rep look at it. I posted this problem a few weeks ago and got a list of things to check. I gave the list to the dealer and they said that you guys don't know what you are talking about!! And did not check anything on the list. I told them I have no problem paying to fix the car if it is the mods that caused the problem, but they don't even want to check to see what is actually wrong, they are just saying it is the chip or exhaust. What can I do? These guys are such morons that they gave me a TT convertable and he didn't know what engine was in it!! I had to tell him. I wish these people would learn something about the product they sell and service.

Default if the CE light goes on it has to be throwing a code, no?

so i don't see why it's so hard to just read the code and attack the problem at the source.

sounds like you should go to a different Audi dealer as well.

Default I bet it's your MAF. Sounds like you may have the same problem I do.

Your air filter would never make your car run lean. However, oil from the air filter can get into the MAF and make it malifuction. Although I would blame too much on airfilters. The MAF sensors we have in our cars are JUNK! My dealer replaces them constantly..

Default They gave me their VAG printout, The DTC's are...

17538 P1130 035 long term fuel trim multi. bank2 system too lean and 17536 P1128 035 long term trim multi bank1 system too lean sporadic DTC.
Yes they did give me a nice black TT conv. for a loaner. Car was pretty cool got a lot of looks but to be honest, it was uncomfortable. The seat killed my back( I'm only 30 ) and the ride was pretty rough. Handled really well even with the Blotenzas.

That is what they said. Oil from the filter, but then they didn't replace or check the MAF.

Default I will put $$$$ on it being your MAF gone bad. Make them repalce your MAF sensor and I be the lean

codes will go away.
