Dealer quoted me $330 to replace throttle Potentiometer, is that fair?
I've been getting DTC's and the car goes into ECP mode and the CE light goes on. They said I need a new throttle pedal. I said to the service guy, "So you need to replace the Potentiometer sensor." He seemed surprised that I knew what F I was talking about. So I ask him how much for the part; $120. So that means 2.5hrs of labor. Seems a bit excessive. Have any of you guys had experience changing this part yourselve or had a different quote. I wish I could do this myself but I don't have a Bentley CD or part number.

don't forget that the job is set for that time, these techs always make money
on their jobs (or 95%of the time).. the job is paid 2.5 hours no matter what , they usually bit that time so they can do it in an hour or 1.5 hours.. that's how they make money (in 8 hour work day they can put 12-14 hours or they can get screwed if things go bad and it can take them 4 hours for a 2 hour job- that how they "loose money") ..that is so you get an idea how dealer labor/job charges go .
