If the 2.7 pan is anything similar to the 1.8T, than - yes - it's quite a job.

It's "supposed" to be a whole lot easier- completely different than the 1.8.

Default Getting hosed, should take 10 mins to put car on lift, 5 mins to remove belly pan, 5 mins to drain

oil,10 min to remove old pan
10 mins to scrape crud off bottom of upper pan
10 mins to sit on his *** and drink a coke
5 mins to have the parts brought to his bay
5 mins to put sealant on new pan
10 mins to reinstall pan
5 mins to add oil
5 mins to run engine/check for leaks
5 mins to reinstall belly pan

grand total of 80 minutes with coke break and some pretty conservative time.

with my car already on the lift and oil drained it took me 15-20 mins.

Default Have you already agreed to it? I would call some other dealerships and get a quote on the work. If

they say 2 hours or 1.5 hours, then tell the dealership you're working with the truth. They will drop the price. He may have looked at the a4 book time, who knows? Could be honest mistake or yet another audi dealer trying to hose an owner.

Default bah- they already started. It's 4 because, and I quote,"there's diagnosis time in there". I did get

it down to 3hours though, and I do trust them so, whatever. Guess my wallet's gonna be a little lighter tonight
