Default Diagnostic wizards... take a look ...vacuum/boost leak...power steering leak...

CEL came on yesterday. Got it Vag'd today. The two codes are

17535
17537

Both seem to be long term fuel trim. So it appears I have a vacuuum/boost leak some where. I noticed my PCV value is a bit loose. I hope I'm using the right name for it. The black thing are the drivers side top of the big Y pipe...kinda plugs in the side. It clicks and the o ring is in there, but it's kinda floppy.

Also, noticed I have a power steering hose leak on the passenger side. Looks like that hose runs from the front of the engine to the back of the engine. (makes sense since I had to add power steering fluid recently)

What's the next step? Hook it up to a smoker/pressure tester and see where it's leaking?

How hard is it to fix that power steering hose?

Oh..the vitals are as follows:

MTM 2+
Miltek DP
MTM exhaust
RS4 fuel pump
5 bar fpr

May be 02 sensors or MAF...do a search on the codes and you'll find what you're looking for!

Yep, possible MAF and O2 like you said Gary. Good thing I can still get to Tahoe this weekend.

Default The thing on the side of the y pipe is part of the pcv system, but not the valve. It's ok

if it's a little loose.

If the p/s hose you describe runs under the intake, you will have to pull the intake manifold to replace it...unless the engine is out:-(

If your car is a 2000 it may well be a maf.

Default It should be somewhat snug...I wouldn't call it loose or tight. It's hard to say since

I can't see your car! Sorry I can't help you more. But seriously, Kim here in Sac. had those SAME codes and the dealer found a bad MAF and they replaced it free. Remember we in Cali are covered under emissions till 100Kmi! MAF falls under emissions. Just hope you know someone at the dealer, like I do that would look past the mods.
