Default Did anyone ever solve the mystery of getting the right replacement

EGT sensor for the Passenger side of a 2000S4?
The original is definitely 078 919 529"D" despite what ETKA says. Sitting here with the current official replacement for Psgr side, a "G" and the cable is way too short. Cooper993 had same problem a year ago. Anyone know the "workaround"?
Thanks,
Tony

Default Are your EGT sensors mounted to the intake manifold in the same spot or are they mounted one on each

side?

Default One on each side. To make it worse the cable comes out the ...

... far (Driver's) side of the plastic box. I guess if I can't get a long cabled version I can "flip" the box 180deg to put the cable exit closer to the DP.

Default I just had this problem over the weekend...

I found a way to route the cable so I could get just the left bolt on. The sensor is sitting on a 45* angle but it feels pretty solid. I was thinking about flipping the sensor around to get the cable to go out the other side, but the sensor is too wide that way and it wonn't seat properly.
