Default Did I run the wrong size tires? :(

Apparently, my tire's gone....as well as my rim.

I run Falken 225-40-18 on BBS CHs 18". Was it a too tight setting? What size tires should I go for? 235 or 245?

Tread looks ok, but only the side wall got stretched and messed up.

Now I will need four new tires and one CH.
If anyone has a CH cheap. Please let me know ASAP. Thank you.

Looks like the tire pressure was very low.

Default dunno, but 225/35/18's would have been closest to stock

Check this toit calculator<ul><li><a href="http://ejelta.com/tiresize/index.html?tiresize=225%2F40-17&amp;minwidth=225&amp;maxwidth=245&amp;minratio= 35&amp;maxratio=45&amp;minwheel=18&amp;maxwheel=18 &amp;maxdelta=5">Next best wheel size calc</a></li></ul>

assuming the wheels had the proper offset, the tire size is perfect, Im guessing the tire pressure is bad or the tire is faulty,
did you hear any rubbing?

Perhaps your alignment it way off... outside is worn,,inside is not?

Default How low is the car, and have you had the alignment checked recently?

If not, I would get an alignment ASAP. Tire underinflation could have contributed, but you would have noticed some excessive outside edge tire wear. If the wear was limited to the inside edge your alignment is off. Some of that could be attributed to toe (easy to fix) while some of that may be attributed to camber (car might be dropped a lot...not much you can do short of buying adjustable control arms.

Let me rephrase my question. Would you recommend 225, 235, or 245 on BBS CH 18"x8.5?

225 is the best possible fit
