I never noticed smoke coming out of the exhaust before today (I did not drive the car after I did the test).
I am hoping that oil simply got pushed through because of the pressure test. Is this normal???

When I took the intake hose off (between the MAF and Y-pipe) I noticed a little oil on the Y-pipe side. I take it that this is normal?

Why would there be oil in the y-pipe? The y-pipe is before the turbos. Did you mean Bi-pipe??

I'd say normal. Oil in the tube between the MAF & Y-pipe probably due to the vacuum system linked to the manifold, & some residue got in there, or from the pcv inlet at the y-pipe just at the start there.

Smoke in the exhaust could be that you left the intake pressurized too long, or too high. Much easier to make it smoke if your oil is topped off & warm too. A good hwy trip will clear it out, hope you don't attract the wrong attention. ;-)

I never do an intake pressure test until I've tried to find the leak without it & don't have any luck. Intake pressure test is a last resort.

Default From the PCV

It dumps in to the Y pipe.

Default Thanks. I noticed that it did depressurize but I think that was because air hose not on good. (more)

I heard hissing, but it seems right at the pressure tester cap (I know I did not have the greatest seal aound brass fitting).
Otherwise than that, I heard nothing from the f hose or boot that connects to the bi-pipe.
How fast should the system de-pressurize if everything is fine?
Mine did in about 5 seconds I think.
