is a die grinder just like a high-powered Dremel?

Steve...not even close! It's like comparing COSTCO to Woolworths- - ->
I have tons of tools if you have a project and you want to drive down.
I also have an air powered micro dir-grinder. What do you need to do?

What model Micro Die Grinder do you have?
I have a standard issue Snap-On, and a 45 degree CP one as well.
I also have a dremmel, but it really sucks after using the die grinder.
Speak on the mini-me.

I have this- ->
A <a href="http://www.builderdepot.com/browse.ihtml?pid=203564&step=5&prodstoreid=2304#"> pneumatic micro die grinder</a>.
You can also get a cheap one from <a href="http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=47869">Harbor Freight</a> for occassional use.
Or, you could try, um...<a href="http://search.ebay.com/micro-die-grinder_W0QQsofocusZbsQQsbrftogZ1QQfnuZ1QQxpufuZxQ QfromZR10QQsacatZ-1QQcatrefZC6QQsargnZ-1QQsaslcZ2QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQsadisZ200QQfposZQ5AIPQ 2FPostalQQfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQcoactionZcompareQQcopage numZ1QQcoentrypageZsearch">ebay</a>. But you are probably opposed to that.. ;-)
BTW, have you seen what necessary to do the interior trim? Lord...if I knew what I was getting myself into I would have paid the money for Steve's trim and gave it to you!!!

If I were going to Sears (edited)...
- Oil for the air tools
- Safty Goggles
- arbor for the cut-off wheels
- touch-up paint for raw edges (if there were any)
- a corse grinding bit for the die grinder (The uni-bit might not have enough depth or you could be off by a hair)
- An air drill..nice but not necessary - hi-torque ya know!
- Torque Wrench (assume you have it already)
- assorted wrenches..13, 16, 17, 18, 19mm
- tape measure that can measure 2 feet 2.5 inches minimum
- Shop knife sharp enough to cut hard rubber
- Blower attachement for the compressor..one of the best ways to get rid of the metal shavings (and to blow them in your eyes so don't forget the goggles)
- Marker to mark + & - unless your memory is good
- Small phillips screwdriver (real small) You can grind the tip smaller..it'll come in handy later...assuming you were doing something sometime...
- A box of Nitrile gloves..I'm a mary
I think "if" I was to be doing "a" project, I would want all this..plus a friend and a cell phone in case I got in trouble, or needed beer.
