Difference between Valeo Housing for S4 and A4? I think I got ripped off.

Default Difference between Valeo Housing for S4 and A4? I think I got ripped off.
The Valeo Housing I have does not fit properly. Plus, I opened it up to check what kind of bulb the installer put in. Itīs a D2R bulb and the base of the headlamp is an H7 bulb base.

Arenīt S4 OEM bulbs suppose to be D2s?

One good thing is that the beam pattern seems right, but arenīt non Xenon projectors suppose to be different from non xenon projectors?

Does anyone know the difference?

Plus, the ballast installed is not mounted on the headlamp assembly. They just double tapped it somewhere in the engine compartment.

I am kindda confused. Did the shop install the wrong Euros?

Default Sounds like you got the halogen headlamps vs the HID headlamps...
The ballasts should be mounted underneath the HID housing assembly.

What is the difference? Are the lenses different?

Default Beam pattern is most likely different...
But the HID housings fit D2S bulbs, space for the ballasts to attach to, etc.

If it is a HID housing, it must say D2S at the bottom of the glass, in the vicinity of the projector lens.

Default A4 and S4 are the same... Xenon and non-Xenon, however are different.
You got non-Xenon housings.

D2S is for projector type headlamps, D2R is for reflector type headlamps. S4 has D2S. D1S/R come with igniter built into bulb instead of into ballast.
