disappointing test drives
Well, my daydreams have been confirmed----dashed--
I test drove a 03 E46 M mt....$46k...nice car, the absolute worst exhaust note i have ever heard...tinny is an understatement. Powa? Its there i guess, certainly didnt smack me in the face...handling/feedback from the car unbelievable...but that in itself cannot make up for the price/power/$mods...I came home very disappointed..
So, I think lets drive a B7S4 for fun....got the keys at my local dealer, salesman was closing another deal, i got a brand new Imola (slowest color)all by myself...nice opportunity....Not....the seats, yes...the exhaust note...(what exhaust note)....basically it was fairly nimble for a boat...but the v-8...no thanks...*jams excelerator to the floor...one-onethousand, two-onethousand..so on and so forth.....* what seems like a lifetime later, i finally get some power...its cool, but way to polished for me...not sporty feeling at all...frankly it measured up to my expectations, not much..$52,000....now i have a dilemna.......Honey...i need a P car...or im getting an E36M track bitch...but the thing i am *never* doing is selling my B5 S4 Tip Stage 2+...i will keep her forever....

you have the option of driving many other cars though.
for those of us who have gotten used to the all-in-one package the S offers, its a difficult car to replace.
you have the truck and the 996TT, you dont need an S4!!

Love it....stiffest setting (which isnt all *that* stiff...love the height...and a complete change from stock..waaayy better. Piggiessmalls, no doubt...i sure would like the 996t...but for now....the s (i buy it off lease next summer for 16k) no sweat
