Default For Discussion - do the pre-cats / heatshields play a large role in early K03 death?

I know that the K03s are small and have small oil passages, however I've been thinking more and more about those pre-cats and the heat they absorb and consequently radiate for some time after shutdown. It can't help that they're tucked under those heat shields (which conveniently channel the dissipated heat right up towards the turbos).

How many of you guys running K04s still have pre-cats and heatshields?
