Does anyone know how much HP the stock clutch setup is rated for???

No, but I know what the clamping force is...
S4 is 1300PSI
RS4 is 1800PSI
That's basically a 40% stronger pressure plate
My S4 clutch was slipping when in XR mode in high gears... it's more a "too much torque" issue, rather than HP --- since HP is only high in the high revs (when torque is much lower).
I hit close to 380lb-ft in XR mode... according to datablock 120 *shrug*

Taner - are you going to put in an RS4 pressure plate when you get the pipes done
since the pipes come off to get to the tranny, might be a good idea given how much torque you've got.
just a thought

Heh, I already have the RS4 PP... I should have done the downpipes when I had my tranny off...
hell, I should have done my TURBOS, TOO.. since they have to take the turbos off to replace my engine mounts that were cracked/broken/toasted.
*sigh*

That's odd that they had to take out the turbos to do the MMs
They did mine while I waited and put down 1.1 hours for warranty labor...
After I had to come back because they forgot to put them in.. grr.
these ones right?

You really should have done the turbos when they were out :)
On my slip it says:
"Removed front bumper and put lock carrier into service position, loosened A/C compressor mounts and removed motor mount, installed new motor mount."
As long as you weren't paying for the labor it's just time.
I wish your turbos a long life.

yeah, I shoudl have :-(
Hmm, I guess you can get in from the front like that, too..
did they do both motor mounts for you, or was jsut one side broken?
I know one side is like 10x harder to get to than then other...
