Default yeah, found something in the search...

about someone trying to convert the voltmeter gauge itself to interpret boost. That would then require re-labeling the gauge.

I just want to take out the gauge and put a boost gauge in there.

Why, have you thought of this too?

yes I have. The backing of the cluster will not let you put even the smallest gauge there

Have you looked? Are you sure there is absolutely no space?

Default No room to put in a boost gauge.

The voltmeter is mounted directly to a PCB that is about an inch behind the face of the voltmeter. you can go to this site to see what the instrument cluster looks like on the inside. The voltmeter is similar to the oil temperature gauge.

http://members.***.net/shokwave/audis4airfuelmeter.htm</a

Default I think it can be done. But would require permanent removal of volt gauge.

And some other modifications.... Nevermind. I'll stick to my a-pillar plastic pod with vdo gauge...

I like the mechanical gauge over LED. My own opinion.
