We would like to remind you of this upcoming event.
Go-Karting Event
Date: Saturday, August 4, 2001
Time: 9:00AM - 12:00PM EDT (GMT-04:00)
Ok Guys, the Go-Karting event is DEFINATELY on for us in the
NY/NJ/CT/ Metro area. It's set for August 4th in East Hampton,
NY. The place is about 1.5 - 2 hrs away from Manhattan
depending on traffic. For mor einfo on the location visit their
website WWW.ExtremeKartingNY.com. You should plan on arriving
at 9:30 AM and after all the drivers pay, and we get an idea of
how big of a group we will have we will have a safety session
and will discuss which cars will be driven.
The general idea is the all driver will start on the
"Concession Karts" rated to about 45 mph. if we don't kill
ourselves or the cars, we are then allowed to move up to the 125
cc shifter Karts which are capable of 100 mph in 6 secs.
Pricing is going to be ABOUT $85 - $95 for an hour of track
time (not continuous). $75 for the car (regarless of type) $5
for lunch which will be provided, and the remeinder $5 - $10
will be for a $300 fee that we have to pay in order to have the
track "exclusively" for us while we are there; this price may
change (get lower) if more or less people drive. This is all at
a substantial savings as an hour of track time is $100 and
does'nt include food.
Let me know who's planning on going, so i can get an approximate
head count. Also, there are kiddie karts, and for those who
are'nt driving, you can still go to s\cheer us on, and to have
an AudiWorld Meet in the lot, and the parking is HUGE.
I hope to see you all at Waterfest, and at this Go-Karting
event!
