Does your dealer look at you funny when u order parts by part # and not by vin
I get a bunch of little stuff from my vw and audi dealer and everytime they give me this stupid "why do you know that" look.

it always amazes me that they ask for the vin... take something as simple as the...
diverter valves on the entire run of 2000-'02 S4's. Are they not the same? YES!
I want to smack the living crap out of Tariq at Rosen every damn time he asks, "Can I get the vin?"
I stopped calling and going there for this reason. If you sat behind a counter all damn day long you think you'd know if you had a model year specific part question asked of you... and especially if I WAS a repeat customer, wouldn't you have a record of my VIN? But noooooo...
Like... what is reaaaally different between the early to later S4's ?? Suspension uprights, y-pipe, some emissions hoses, other cosmetic non-functional b.s. items?
