Default dogs and leather seats?

I'm thinking about adopting a greyhound, and I was wondering what (if anything) the dog owners out there do to protect your leather upholstery. Thanks!

I have a sheepdog and just put down a blanket. The look on her face is priceless when I nail it and she gets sucked into the seat.

Casper is small (Bichon Frise), but he rides in the front seat on a large bath towel. I am careful to tuck the towel in the back and let it hang down the front and sides, so that it doesn't get pushed out of the way.

Watch out for nose prints on inside of rear window (from the dog).
