For the drags next week, could I get away with unbolting my exhaust?

STOCK system? Hrm.....
The only place you can unbolt it is at the DPs and that is REALLY REALLY loud. If you had a 3 piece borla you could just unbolt the resonator and muffler and still have a liveable sound.

Hello! You cannot unbolt it at the DPs, or you will through a check engine light...
and the mixture will be terrible, as it needs the second ox sensor to derive the mixture.
Is this the System_S4000 in Sante Fe? I thought you had a serious mechanical knowledge. If so, your blanket statement of "If anything, it runs better" is not accurate. Where did you get the idea he had an aftermarket exhaust?
There is a high end pull benefit from running less resistence, but you cannot pull your stock exhaust and expect the car to run right.

Check the rules for the track...
NHRA street legal state you MUST have mufflers.
Yea, not everybody obeys but with NHRA if you are driving a V8 you can do whatever you want but that does NOT hold for imports.
