Default For the drags next week, could I get away with unbolting my exhaust?

Think I will hit any sort of noise restriction at Sac raceway?

Should be fine. It will be LOUD, but some of the V-8's WITH exhaust will still be louder.

Unbolting your exhaust? This may hurt your performance (low end torque)and the car may run like crap

Default STOCK system? Hrm.....

The only place you can unbolt it is at the DPs and that is REALLY REALLY loud. If you had a 3 piece borla you could just unbolt the resonator and muffler and still have a liveable sound.

Default No, if anything the car runs better. Its just REALLY loud.

Turbo create all the back pressure you need.

Default Hello! You cannot unbolt it at the DPs, or you will through a check engine light...

and the mixture will be terrible, as it needs the second ox sensor to derive the mixture.

Is this the System_S4000 in Sante Fe? I thought you had a serious mechanical knowledge. If so, your blanket statement of "If anything, it runs better" is not accurate. Where did you get the idea he had an aftermarket exhaust?

There is a high end pull benefit from running less resistence, but you cannot pull your stock exhaust and expect the car to run right.

I believe he means leaving the DPs and O2 sensors in place and removing the cat back stock exhaust

Default Check the rules for the track...

NHRA street legal state you MUST have mufflers.

Yea, not everybody obeys but with NHRA if you are driving a V8 you can do whatever you want but that does NOT hold for imports.
