Default Dyno plots....some time back there was a Chicago dyno day. I posted #'s and people asked for the...

actual plots so they could see the curves.

It took some time but I just got mine e-mailed to me.

Here it is (the runs were done within 2 minutes of each other - all of the other cars that day lost lots of power between runs also - bad fans maybe?)......

FWIW, this was with my homebrew stage III (plain KO4s with MBC/TCD, GIAC XR, 93 octane).

Oh, here's the plot from my Trailblazer SS (stock is has 395hp at the crank and 400ft-lbs):

Default really? I would think the curve wouldn't drop off so much.

It seems as though he's pretty rich > 4000 but damn.. that's quite a large fall.

Default Homebrew cars typically fall off a little in the last few hundred RPM. Tuner kits increase duty

cycle in the upper RPM to compensate for TIP and falling turbo efficiency.

Default looks like I could lean it out a bit.....I haven't messed with things in a LONG time....

I've been very happy with the way the car is performing now. The thing pulls like a freight train.

I would LOVE to have "real" software, no MBC, no TCD without a drop off in the torque curve like that....But, I've tried that and it didn't work as well as what I have now...

I'd like to have the car custom tuned....the thing is, at what point do you reach the law of diminishing returns?

I paid sticker for the car in '00, put lots of money into since then and it now has 133,000 miles on it...At some point, I need to draw the line (just haven't found that point yet!).

Default Chris is right. Eliminating a bit of that taper would probably solve both the a/f and the torque

dropoff. Got avc-r I love mine.
