Engine support bridge needed?
Bentley manual calls for engine support bridge (10-222A1) to be used while pulling out the engine. I can't see what it's actually helping since the hoist will be lifting the engine anyways. Does anyone know if the bridge is really required? Cheapest I can find is $150.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You might need a jack to free one of tranny mounts since the engine will tilt one way or another but other than that a simple hoist levelling bar will do. I bought this one and it worked like a charm:

$22.95 out of the door.
This is the cheapest I could find a quality one, you can always buy some junk from ebay I guess...
