EPC light ?

EPC light ?
Looking for some input on this EPC light.
I recently bought some parts from my boss's 01 S4 and switched them over to my 01.5 S4, which included-
Giac X "H box" to replace my stock "M box"
AWE downpipes/cats
Borla cat back.
A few days after the install, I'm getting an EPC light. I just recently bought the car, so I have not yet invested in a scan tool.
Do you think that the mods I did could have some way caused this light?
I would like to drop it off at the dealer, but I'm not sure how they would react to the car being modified.

Re: H box ecu in M box car is causing the ECP light. Piggie had EPC when he ran H box IIRC.
Interesting.
I called AWE before making the switch, and they said M and H boxes were interchangeable.
So I will need to get my M box back and send it off to AWE?
Thanks.

Re: They told you H and M were interchangeable!? Hmmm, that's news to me.
Hmm. Well that sucks. I guess I'll have to get another M box and send it off to AWE.
(my boss's car may have been sold allready)

If you have a vag tool, do this.
Key car on, but don't start.
Connect to instrument cluster
click on adaptation.
select channel 60
if the value is 1025, change it to 0
If the value is 0, change it to 1025.
turn key off, remove from car and go get a drink.
When done, key car back up, verify channel 60 is set to the desired value, then clear codes from the cluster and the ecu.
Depending on which order you do this, you may have to clear codes more than once while the cluster and ecu figure out the new way they will be communicating.
If all goes well your tach and speedometer will work, no warning lights will be on, and the epc light will stay off.
