I can't really say for sure how it compares, since I only had the stock exhaust before.
I've heard plenty of Borla exhausts, while idling, stationary flooring of the gas pedal, and also during a short 10 minute ride.
It's just a tad louder then stock, but in fact quite quiet. You get a nice sound at idle, sort of deep, but not annoying. You also hear the exhaust during hard acceleration, but it's definitely not that loud either. Regular day driving is great. Very similar to the Borla sound, but not identical, only similar in loudness, but not in tone.
You get 3" piping from Y-connector to the rear. You get 2 mufflers, and 2 tips that stick out of the rear muffler itself, unlike Borla which is one pipe out of muffler via Y-connector to 2 tips.
