extended warranty discussion time.........(again)........
for those of us with m/y 2000 cars and will have our audi warranty expiring in the next 2 or 3 months, due to 3 yrs. not 50k miles, who plans on buying an aftermarket extended warranty?
my situation, i own the car and will probably keep it for another 2 or 3 years.
so far, from previous posts and a check on their web site, warranty gold (new platinum coverage) appears to be the way to go. has anyone had previous claims experience with these people?
were you satisfied?
also considering api extended warranty, offered by the audi dealership i bought my car from and have it serviced by. again, same two questions.
i'm very interested in everyone's input.
thanks,
anthony

I'm in the same boat, my S-4 was leased 12/31/99 and it's my plan to buy it cause I like the car alot and because I'm about 5000 miles over the leases 36000 miles. My Dealer offers Universal but at 1500 bucks it seemed high. I'm also told that when you use it you are in for a fight at every step. Let me know what you do. Robbie

Extended Auto Warranty Corp seems to be very competitive...
$1699 for 4yr/48k, $0 deductible. Covers just about everything but worn parts (clutch/brake pads).
100% refund if you never make a claim.

I noticed the price just went up (to $1899); if only I would have bought a couple weeks ago...
...instead I am about to buy it in the next day or two; it's still cheaper priced than most of the others I've found.

They were kind of pricey like warrantygold, and I'd much rather have warrantygold than them...
...the trick with warrantygold is to register for their emailing list so you get their $500 off offers they give during the last week of each month.
